FATS uses several types of portable scanners for fixed asset tracking, tracking laptop computers, tracking personal computers, tracking furniture, art objects, tools, medical equipment, etc.

Portable scanners divide into two types "Touch scanners" and laser scanners. Touch scanners require that you touch the barcode label and move the scanner. 

Laser Barcode Scanner for fixed asset tracking do not require that you touch the barcode label. The laser scanner emits a red beam that scans the barcode from a distance. 

The Barcodes or bar codes are attached to your fixed assets. Location barcodes can be attached to the door as you enter a room, or on a clipboard that you carry.

These scanners can be used for Asset management or Asset tracking or tracking laptop computers. It's easy with these portable barcode scanners. 

Our High quality, low cost, easy to use Asset Tracking System includes the laser barcode scanner, software, and barcode labels. We use Symbol, and Videx scanners.
